About Sendai Tanabata Matsuri
The festival is held every year from 6 to 8 August; the evening before, on the 5th, there is a fireworks display. The streamers are made by local shops, schools and companies and hang along the central arcades.
Seeing the decorations is free. Expect crowds in the arcades in the evening.
