About The Perseids at Kielder
The peak is the night of 12 to 13 August 2027, with the best of the shower after midnight. In 2027 a bright waxing moon will wash out the fainter meteors, so expect fewer than in a dark-moon year.
Watching needs no ticket: any open, dark spot will do. The observatory also runs guided nights, which are ticketed. Cloud decides everything; there is no guarantee.
