Is Oktoberfest 2026 free?

Yes, entry to the Theresienwiese and the tents is free. You pay for food, drink and rides; reserved tables are paid in vouchers bought in advance.

About Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest 2026 runs from 19 September to 4 October. The first barrel is tapped at noon on the opening Saturday in the Schottenhamel tent.

Entry is free. Tents admit guests without a reservation until they are full, which is easiest on weekday afternoons.

Table reservations are made with each tent and are paid in food and drink vouchers; for 2026 they are fully booked.
