Good to know

July splits into two kinds of trip. In Europe it is the month of big fixed dates, with Wimbledon, the Running of the Bulls and the Palio all in its first half. Elsewhere it is when Calgary holds its Stampede, Ulaanbaatar its Naadam and Kyoto its month of Gion Matsuri floats.

Dates carry the pencil mark until an organiser confirms them: festivals such as Fuji Rock are expected from their usual pattern only. For Europe alone, the Europe in July page lists just those events.
